I would like to reinstall IE 11 but cannot find a download for it( but, since I cannot find it listed in my programs I cannot uninstall it first) Went to Internet Explorer in program files and clicked on ieinstal.exe, but nothing happened.
also saw where you could stop Edge from running by renaming microsoftedge.exe and microsoftedgecp.exe. IE11 was working before I did, but, mainly use firefox. Am using firefox which is working as I am preparing this message. Wondering if it would be safe to remove edge either by going to uninstall programs or by uninstalling the win update KB4567409 which installed it? When I go to taskmgr I see both IE 11 and Edge exe running on 4 to 11 or 12 lines. If you follow these steps correctly, you should have removed Edge browser from your Windows 11 PC. Finally, click on uninstall and wait for it to uninstall the browser. Scroll down to find Edge and click on the three dots on the right side. Click on Apps and click on Apps and features. Tried to reinstall edge today but it just hung up. Open the Settings app in windows from the start menu. Weird is that IE 11 is no longer showing in my installed programs using win uninstall and revo uninstaller. Recently installed microsoft edge on my win 8.1 desktop and when I click on it it comes up blank and now IE 11 will come up if I click on it but it won't load any websites.
